Kirchheim, October 16, 2024 – Use cloud infrastructures in a sovereign and secure manner: genua GmbH, German IT security provider and subsidiary of the Bundesdruckerei Group, and the German digitization enabler IONOS have entered into an ISV partnership. Within the framework of this cooperation, genua, as the ISV, supplies highly secure, virtualized IT security products for securing virtualized network infrastructures for customers in the IONOS Cloud. genua will be presenting its solutions at the leading IT security trade fair it-sa at booth 235 in hall 9. The trade fair will be taking place from October 22 to October 24, 2024, in Nuremberg.
Solutions Certified For German Classification Level "Restricted" to Meet High Security Requirements
The virtualized High-Resistance Firewall genugate Virtual and the Remote Maintenance Solution genubox Virtual are the first genua products to be available in the IONOS Cloud for users to install directly in their virtualized environment. genugate Virtual is particularly special: It is the first and so far only virtualized High-Resistance Firewall that has been approved for German classification level "Restricted" by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). It can be used to effectively secure transitions between networks with high protection requirements and networks with low protection requirements.
The Remote Maintenance Solution genubox satisfies all of the BSI's security recommendations and enables application-specific, minimally invasive remote access without network coupling. Using genubox Virtual as a rendezvous server in the IONOS Cloud opens up new possibilities in terms of scaling and cost optimization compared with on-premise operation.
Trust And Digital Sovereignty
"We are proud that by working with IONOS, we are able to offer solutions that meet the highest security requirements and also fulfill the current customer requirements for scalability and flexibility," explains Matthias Ochs, Managing Director of genua GmbH. "We want to offer our customers trustworthy solutions and as much digital sovereignty as possible. With our cloud strategy, we are setting new standards for IT security in virtualized environments."
The cooperation with IONOS is an important step forward for genua in the implementation of its cloud strategy. genua's proven IT protection concepts are based on the protection of classified information and the BSI's IT baseline protection for sensitive customer environments, and the strategy aims to make them available in the cloud as well.
