The Data Diode cyber-diode from genua acts as NOA Security Gateway within the NAMUR Open Architecture.
NAMUR is an international association of automation technology users in the process industry. With the NAMUR Open Architecture (NOA) concept, the association aims to make production data easily and securely available for plant and device monitoring and optimization. This will be based on standardized components, transmission protocols, and information structures.
To accelerate the development of market-ready solutions for NOA, NAMUR and ZVEI (German Electrical and Digital Industries Association) have initiated the NOA Implementation Project 2025.
genua is a project partner and is working with other manufacturers and user companies, among other things, on the design of the NAMUR Open Architecture security gateway. This important function will be performed by genua's Data Diode cyber-diode. The NOA Security Gateway enables one-way data transfer from the protected system to the outside, external access to the automation technology or manipulation of data is not possible.
The NOA concept will be presented at the ZVEI main booth (Hall 11, B54) at the Hannover Messe (HMI), which takes place from March 31 to April 4, 2025. genua will also be present with IT experts.
